"It was OK. A little dated but the bed was very comfy which was the main thing. The bathroom was a bit of a let down. The toilet didn't flush properly and there was mould above the shower. Cleaners started hoovering at 8 so perhaps not great if you want a lay in. Breakfast was so so...muffins dry and croissants over cooked. Hot buffet was cold but tasted OK. Coffee was very good though and they had oat milk which was a great touch. Location was great. View was stunning and definitely made up for it. "

"Lovely venue for family holiday. Gorgeous rooms. Lovely staff. Piccolo restaurant is wonderful. Brasserie food is nice,perhaps menu coud be a bit more varied? Clean. Beds were so comfortable. Quiet at night. Lovely residents lounge. Fun arcades in Glen's Den. Adventure park about 20min walk or hotel train ride away. Adventure passes a little pricey at £15 each for adventure park but if you have wee ones who will play away for hours you can enjoy cuppa on Basecamp. Activity passes £35 but if you only want to do one activity you can't just pay that, so £35 seems a little expensive unless you are going to be doing lots of activities, then it is a great deal. Wonderful oveall. Would recommend. "

"Great hotel, very quiet away from traffic. Lovely room, spotlessly clean and serviced every day. The weather was superb while we were there but if it had been raining we'd have required an umbrella as it's an outside walk to the dining room."

"Excellent value for money. We stayed over to break up a longer journey north. Conveniently located just off the main route. We enjoyed the riverside walk with access close to the hotel. The evening meal was good and we particularly enjoyed the cooked breakfast the following morning. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Special thanks to the staff who were all very pleasant and friendly.Will definitely stay again when travelling this way."
