"Lovely drive to San Pietro and a warm welcome by Salvatore. He explained to us all the local area, food and customs over a dinner prepared by his wife which was delicious and all local produce. The room was great, cable TV and wifi as well. All in all a great stay"

"We stayed for 1 night en route to Cefalu. It's quite off the beaten track with some windy roads. Our room was clean and tidy, basic but spacious with air conditioning! However, we asked for some food as we arrived in the evening, and whilst the small plates of tapas were enjoyable, the Manager proceeded to charge us €15 each (€30 total) for some ham, tomato and mozzarella, bread, aubergine and a bottle of water. "This was a really fabulous week in Caltavuturo. Susanne has a created a welcoming and beautifully styled home and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. There are many hidden places around the property to relax, whether it’s by the pool, on the terrace on the long outdoor sofa or upstairs on the terrace outside the main apartment. The kitchen is really well stocked with appliances. There are two fridges so plenty of storage space. The Weber grill was perfectly clean and easy to use....

"Our host was very friendly and helpful, giving us tips on the local region and keeping the attractive outside area clean. The patio and pool area looks across a mountain view, changing in the light from dawn to dusk. The apartment provided everything we needed including indoor and outdoor cooking facilities. Castelbuono is well served for bars, restaurants and points of interest. It sits in the Madonie nature reserve so is good for walking and wildlife ."
