"The hotel is ready for a cosmetic overhaul and consequently looks a little tired’’ That said the food was very good but service from all members of staff was fantastc. They were all extremely polite considerate and extremely friendly "

"Central location, nice welcome from reception on arrival, clean and reasonable price but you get what you pay for as uncomfortable bed, only 2 lightbulbs in room working and no curtains! "

"Couldn’t fault the place! Big comfy room, loads of parking, TV with Netflix, WiFi. Basic breakfast available should you wish - bread, sugary type bars, a bit of fruit, OJ etc. Lovely man checked us in and dog friendly to top it off! "

"Nice quiet location. Took a walk on the path and returned to a delicious dinner. Rooms were very well appointed with lovely products. Took a hot bath with bubbles then had tea and a rhubarb scone. Fabulous!"

"Cannot fault this hotel. From check in to check out all of the staff were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The whole experience was relaxing with amazing views over the golf course and the sea beyond. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable, slept like a log. The food in the restaurant was good value, cooked fresh and was well presented - delicious. "

"The Hotel was well situated and the parking was good. The breakfast and Evening Meals were really good and plentiful. The room we had was adequate, but could do with an upgrade. The staff and owner were really friendly and made us feel welcome!"

"Great place as a base for exploring the Borders. Overall stay was good. Room was exceptionally clean(had a couple of minor niggles but these were dealt with happily and swiftly). Stayed in a double which was quite small (with only one bedside table). Would 'upgrade' to a larger room if staying again. The best thing about this hotel is the people and the outstanding service they provide-nothing too much trouble and so friendly. Ooh- and good food including a fab breakfast. "
