"Overall it was a good, cheap stay for a night. It's not very far from all the restaurants and bars, but it is also at the top of a fairly large hill. The facilities were nice enough. Though the tv in my room was flickering. I'd recommend if you just need a place to stay for a night or two. "

"My son and I were traveling and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was close to many sites. The breakfast was great and had so many choices. We also celebrated my birthday with dinner here. The food was very good and our waiter was fabulous!!"

"I would strongly recommend this hostel to anyone traveling in Akureyri! It is far and away the best hostel I've ever stayed in (and honestly closer to a hotel than most). The common areas are kept meticulously clean, and are decorated beautifully. The kitchen is fully furnished with multiple cooktops, fridges, and sinks. I stayed in a room with two twin beds, and it also had a desk, TV, and small sink (one of my favorite amenities). The bathrooms are stylish and always clean. Truly a fabulous...

"If I could give them 8 stars out of 5 I would. This place is a gem. The owners are so welcoming and helpful and the guesthouse (which the owner designed) is beautiful. So beautifully decorated and warm and homey. The breakfast was perfect. HOMEMADE BREAD! and so many other choices. A perfect Icelandic breakfast. We are so happy we stayed there two nights. By far this was the best place we stayed at in Iceland!"

"I stayed in house 5, room 17. So cute inside! It was wonderful and spotless when I arrived. It was modern and offered the amenities listed. The woman at the front desk was very kind and gave clear directions to my room. Although I did not eat breakfast in the morning, it looked delightful as I was checking out. "Wow, what a treat! We had the absolute best time at this guesthouse. The host was very friendly and offered great advice about the next leg of our trip. We had a lovely breakfast with homemade pastries from the host’s mother. There is a hot tub with an incredible view of the fjord. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer."
