"I only stayed in the dorm section as all others were filled. Pretty Spartan with one extension cord on the floor for anything anybody wanted to plug in. Bathrooms were clean."

The villa's are starting to become a bit run down and need some updating, however they are kept very clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. "We had a room with a pool balcony. The pool needed cleaning when we arrived and outside areas need refreshing and new paint. The staff were extremely helpful, pool was lovely and food was nice. However, the hotel is advertised as being on thr beach, but, the building is so far back that the tide is only out for 1 hour a day giving a tiny beach area, the rest of the time you have to access a dirty ladder that leads to the beach and use other properties facilities such as sunbeds if you want to spend any time on the beach"

"We have had amazing time while staying at The Hive in Lamai Beach. Could the rooms (especially the bathroom) do with a refresh? Probably, but the beautiful staff and wonderful location. The staff, from reception, to restaurant, to housekeeping and grounds could not be more welcoming or friendly. I look forward to returning sometime"
