There were trees surrounding it which provided privacy from neighbors and made it seem more like a stay in a park than a neighborhood. "A very nice place to stay in a very convenient location. Easily sleeps 8, 9 or 10 if you include sofa space. Nice size TV. Internet was good the first couple of days but we experienced a lot of outages a few days into our stay. Very good local shop less than 5 minutes walk and a similar distance to the local station which can get you to the airport or the city in roughly 30 minutes. Everything seems to be open late, even on weekends, so it is easy to buy things on the way back from a long day...

"Two factors made our stay at this house so memorable: 1) The house sits on the beautiful island of Stegesund (no cars, only a small dirt road) that overlooks gorgeous water just outside of the town of Vaxholm. The July sun bathes the house in warm light all day long. You get the benefit of feeling away from the city while only being a 5 minute ferry/boat ride away from Vaxholm. "Super nettes kleines Häuschen, direkt am Wasser gelegen mit Paddelboot. Gute Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter, der jederzeit Fragen beantwortet. Man wohnt im Prinzip auf seinem Grundstück unterhalb seines Hauses. Die Hütte hat alles, was es bin für einen Urlaub braucht. Die Lage direkt am Wasser ist wirklich malerisch und besonders. Bis zum nächsten Supermarkt ist es ohne Auto allerdings etwas weit, aber mit dem Bus nicht unmöglich. Wir haben nach dem dritten Tag ein Auto gemietet, hatten das...
