Coming from the US I had stayed for a week previously in November 2022 at hotel del prado also in San Isidro which was OK but their rates increased from that time to when I wanted to come the first week of March 2023. This was my first time renting an apartment in Peru and was able to use WhatsApp to communicate with the reception. You will be provided with the security code to unlock the door and the wifi password. The apartment smelled right by the entrance, kind of fishy/trashy which my Peruvian boyfriend said he thinks was the gas container in the closet. As you stay you will only notice it upon entering and leaving. The bed is okay, more on the firm side but it was clean and smelled like bleach which I love. AC is only in the bedroom and TV only in living room. All the surfaces and trash were clean which was great but they only provided 3 rolls of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels which was really not enough for 8 days, I planned to go shopping for things anyway but it would have been thoughtful if it was already there. Also I tried to reach out about checking in early and leaving late and since the room wasn't available on Expedia they couldn't help me with that so I had to make other arrangements to stay since I got to Peru at 5:20am and couldn't check in until 2:30pm, and also until my flight left that night at 11:55pm since I had to check out at 11am. Shout out to hotel brickell which is a hostal that was very accommodating to me for these weird times.
