Didn't honour our reservation!!
We had booked online 5 days prior to arrival yet, upon trying to check-in, Karen informed us that she did not get an email, despite us showing our own confirmation email, and that it was "our problem" that we were now left with nowhere to stay. We were essentialy thrown out to the street despite having a booking because she is incompetent as a business owner. Karen was incredibly rude about the whole thing, did not apologise, and did not offer to assist us in any way. Other people came to check-in shortly after us and they were given the room we had booked because they had "booked through a different website." We were appalled by this behaviour from someone running a business. Avoid this place at all costs - you too might end up without a place to stay despite a legitimate booking!

Horrible experience - don't stay here!
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! We arrived at night only to find out that 1. The owner (Karen) has left the hostel and there was no one at the front desk and 2. There was no room for us. Some of the other guests were helpful in contacting Karen and telling her we are there (and that we have a booking) - but she didn't do ANYTHING to help the situation out. All she said was that she doesn't have any room (even though we have a booking) and that was it. Didn't offer to help us find another place, nothing!!!

No elijan esta porqueriza la gente es grosera te maltrata e incluso te cancela la reservación sin más. No saben leer, y se equivocan en identificar a los usuarios. No te expongas, no quiero que nadie pase lo que yo pase con ese lugar. Espero expedia lo saque de su lista pues jamás me había tocado una experiencia así y creo que este tipo de lugares solo baja el prestigio de expedia. Muy decepcionante.

Impression décevante. L'hôtelier nous a averti par mail pour nous dire que nous étions déclassés à la dernière minute. Nous n'avons pu prendre connaissance de cette information qu'une fois arrivés à l'hôtel puisqu'il l'a envoyé lorsque nous étions dans l'avion ! Lassés par le voyage, nous n'avons pu qu'accepter cette "chambre" . Laissez nous vous décrire cette dernière : à peine 6m2, une lucarne à 2 mètres de hauteur donnant sur une cuisine commune. En ouvrant la porte de la chambre, nous avons vue sur les toilettes communes totalement défraîchies pour ne pas dire délabrées. Je vous laisse imaginez les délicates mélodies que nous entendions chaque matin... Vous saisissez maintenant l'intimité du lieu. L'équipement de la chambre : une lampe et table de chevet, un fauteuil sale qui ne vous invite pas à vous délasser. Et un lit qui perd ses lattes une fois sur deux avec un pauvre matelas bien fatigué et moisi. Pas de rideaux, un miroir et c'est tout ! Difficile dans ces conditions de déposer nos bagages et de s'installer. J'oublie de vous signaler, l'humidité ambiante mélangée à l'odeur de moisissures. Non je vous assure ce n'est pas une cave, ou presque... Pendant ces trois jours, l'hôtelier ne nous a pas proposé de nous reloger. Que dire également du ménage dans la chambre, il fût inexistant. Nous sommes restés sur le sentiments que ce dernier avait fait le choix de donner notre chambre à quelqu'un d'autre.

Sympathique Homestay
Établissement familial très accueillant. Karen parle anglais et nous a donné plein de conseils pour visiter la ville, elle nous a aussi prêté sa carte de métro. Au rez-de-chaussée, un salon et une petite cuisine sont à disposition des voyageurs. La maison était toujours très calme la nuit. Chambre un peu humide mais très correcte, douche chaude. Petite info, depuis l'aéroport vous pouvez prendre le bus I18 à 2,50 soles jusque Miraflores (sinon le taxi coûte 50 soles). On a trouvé le quartier de Miraflores pratique mais sans charme... à refaire on logerait plutôt à Barranco !
