"The room was fine, quiet and confortable but the staff at the desk quite disappointing. We spent two nights, were told we needed a code to enter after 11:00 pm but in fact there was nobody present between 8:00 and 9:00 pm and we had to rely on other customers to enter. As for the check out, the only word pronunced by the person at the desk was "merci". they never ask how was our stay, if we needed a taxi (it was raining). "Our stay at the hotel was perfect from start to finish. The owners are super friendly and offered plenty of advice about the surrounding area, and tips on recommended places to visit. The attention to detail on the decor of the whole property gives a truly comforting & relaxed feel. The hotel is in a great location within a short 5-10 minute walk in to Chinon centre. I would highly recommend this property."

Hôtel Anne d'Anjou,The Originals Collection

"I absolutely loved this hotel . From the moment we checked in with the friendliest of welcomes the staff were fantastic. We parked opposite the hotel . The room was gorgeous with a view overlooking the loire. It was a superior double and was simply fantastic for the price we paid. A short stroll along the river front takes you to bars and retaurants. I would not hesitate to stay here again. . The bar prices were very reasonable too. We will definately come here again"

"This place is impeccable. In spite of it being in an historic building it has been lovingly maintained. Our triple room had an enormous bedroom with twin sinks. The beds were in separate rooms and there were original paintings on the walls. Breakfast was very good. Stay there if you’re in the area."
