"We were looking for a quiet getaway location from the Black Friday and Small Business Saturday crowds, but also a location that was close to several small towns near the area...and this property checked all boxes! Everywhere you go within 20-30 minutes is a delight for the history, art, music collector, foodie, entertainment, wine, distillery, brewery, or shopping fanatic...a delightful home and one we hope to visit again!"

"I come to Frederick a lot and so have stayed at many of the VRBO properties. This property is the best property I have seen in Frederick in terms of comfort and aesthetic appeal. Everything was super nice and classy from the linens to the dishware. It is in an excellent location within a short walk to Market street and the canal. The host is really nice and very accommodating. I strongly recommend it especially if you want to be downtown."

"Wonderful family homestead. The place is better than what the online pictures show, including how quiet it is outside of the home. FYI DO NOT TAKE THE CRUMMY ASPHALT ROAD! Google took me to a locked gate in a potato field at night lol. Strongly recommend and we will definitely be back next time we visit Gettysburg College."

"We loved staying in this country home on a horse farm. Susan and Jim are wonderful hosts. They were kind enough to let us weary travelers check in early. Jim invited our granddaughter to help him feed the horses and walk one to a stable. She loved the experience!"

"We so enjoyed this cozy house for our holiday trip to visit family. The backyard yard was perfect for our granddaughters run & play on the manicured lawn. The house had everything we needed especially the kitchen where we cook daily! The location is exceptional… we walked everywhere. Parking was available right in front of the house too! We definitely will be returning on our next trip to beautiful Frederick, MD"

"The Rusty Rose and Jefferson were a great central location for a variety of other local adventures (Harper's Ferry, Frederick, Brunswick, Cunningham Falls, etc.) Having the bakery, meat market, fresh eggs, and more nearby was lovely and it was clear that Heather had put a lot of thought and detail into making it a comfortable stay. In the interest of helping other potential guests per other reviews, we found the antiques very manageable for our dog and toddler. Thanks very much for a great stay!"

"what a beautiful standalone building within walking distance to everything you would want to get to in downtown Frederick. This VRBO is so well designed and was so cozy and comfortable. The host had great communication and even offered up a list of local restaurants that him and his wife enjoy. We cannot wait to come back to this location."

"This was the perfect location for a visit to the area. Tucked away just enough without feeling totally isolated. Near a few cute towns for food and dinning, as well as plenty of historical sites. Loved the layout and atmosphere. Felt very comfortable and homey. Especially appreciated all the little touches (snacks, toiletries, extra towels, etc.). Overall wonderful stay. "
