"when we first used the shower the water was tepid/32, not comfortable but usable. The last 2 days we were there the water was too cold/28 to even take a shower and this was adjusted to the warmest setting. If it had been that cold when we got there I would have called so it could be fixed but it wasn't worth it 2 days before leaving. Also the door to the patio was very very hard to unlock and lock so as a result we simply didn't use it."

The advert did not make it clear that the cottage is next to a road of fast flowing traffic, and that parking is next to the road, which is dangerous for getting a dog from the car to the cottage. There are no dog walks nearby. The inclusion of the hot tub drew us in, but we were not going to pay an extra £100 to use it. Those sleeping in the double room found the room too hot, and noisy with passing traffic. It was impossible to use Netflix. On...

"The property was as expected photos accurate. We had a very enjoyable stay visiting Crail after a 30 year gap. The beds were comfy plenty of hot water and cosy seating areas location was excellent . "This is a wonderful location right below the castle. Every morning we woke up to a gorgeous view! Peaceful street, one block from all of the Grassmarket shops and restaurants, and it was so easy to walk everywhere in town. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful.
