"We received a very warm welcome and info about the hotel which is very clean and beautifully decorated. Our room was a good size, very stylish and well appointed with comfy double bed and crisp white linen, two easy chairs, coffee maker, TV etc and even two padded waterproof coats to use for early morning strolls or inclement weather. It’s only a short walk uphill from the hotel to bustling Port Isaac but so good to return and have a quiet drink watching the sun go down over Port Gaverne. "

"Staff and rooms were excellent - only disappointment for me was no alternative pillows- they were feather filled and to soft for me I prefer a firmer one - also a lot of building work going off nearby which isnt anything to do with the pier house but consequently it looks very untidy and denies access to the pier itself ! "

"Staying here was a lovely experience. Fantastic location. Great, friendly service from all staff. Enjoyable bar food. Huge choice of drinks. Wonderful continental breakfast which included fresh fruit & exotic yoghurts, continental cold meats, cheese, cereals, choice of breads & selection of pastries. Really comfortable bed & pillows in attractive bedroom with great views from those in the front of the hotel. Only disappointment was having to pay £12.50 per day for parking. "Such a beautiful place to stay it was actually our second visit we spent our honeymoon there 40 years ago in September and certainly wasn’t disappointed. All the staff were great and very welcoming and friendly would definitely recommend "

"Lovely place to stay. Had an upgrade to a beautiful harbour view room. The view was stunning. The room had a huge comfy bed.Staff all very friendly. Lovely pub downstairs & a fantastic breakfast. Would highly recommend staying there. Fabulous. "
