"Our 4 night stay was wonderful, the inside has been recently renovated albeit it looks like some work is still being done in certain areas. It certainly did not deter from the overall experience and the owners have done a great job with the improvements thus far. The kitchen is amazing for cooking and entertaining. The house has an in-line water heater which was nice! The location is 45 minutes from Winterplace ski resort and about a 15 min car ride to most retail restaurant establishments. ...

"We loved Four Fillies! The property was kept up very well and was so beautiful. I loved the sound of the creek. We travelled back and forth from Blacksburg which was a bit of a trek (45 minutes) but was a fairly easy drive. it was so worth it!"

"Wonderful cabin for one or two! It was clean, well organized and neat. The bed is comfortable. Heating/AC worked well. It is in a very remote location a few miles off the four line highway, down a narrow, dark paved road, and then onto a narrow, dark unpaved road for the last 1/8 mile or so. It’s a very quiet area. Couple minor issues—the light bulbs in the ceiling fan in the living room did not work, but the fan itself worked. And all the lights and power in the bedroom stopped working...

"The house and the location were exactly what I was looking for. Located near Sandstone Falls and Big Branch Trail. The house is well stocked and clean. The screen porch with the view of the river is a great place to relax. Excellent 2 night stay."
