"This property is UNSUITABLE for pilgrims, despite its close proximity to the Camino del Norte. There were no washing or drying facilities for clothes beyond ones ability to improvise in the bathroom. The owner was uncontactable and did not respond to my WhatsApp message written in Spanish. They did not have a stamp for my Credencial del Peregrino to record my stay, a necessity to prove having walked the route. There were no cooking facilities beyond a microwave and the restaurant at the hotel...

"Highly recommend staying here if you enjoy the quiet countryside. The accommodation is stunning and the breakfast is homemade by the owner. I love the decor and the size of my room. "Casa Pikua was right on the Camino. A sudden rain shower hit 2 miles before we arrived. We were able to dump our clothes in the spacious room and go to the bar and get dinner and drinks. Beautiful view from the room and dining area."

"Delightful accommodation in the hills behind Bakio. Excellent security of the property and individual apartments. Great location for exploring the coastal region and centres such as Bilbao and Guernica."

"Miguel was super nice to meet us at the villa for check in. He explained how to use everything in the house and even talked to the private chef we booked for a house dinner one night, which was really helpful. He was also very responsive when we had questions during the stay. The villa was the perfect place to celebrate our marriage and house our family for a few days.
