"Hotel was very ornate and a beautiful setting for a wedding. A bit dated and worn in areas but that makes it charming. Too warm in the bedroom and couldn’t turn the bathroom radiator off which provided all the heat. Bed was comfy. Carpets needed to be cleaned. Gym had very basic and minimal equipment and floors were dirty and looked to have not been cleaned for while. Reception staff very friendly and welcoming. "

"Interior design of the hotel is superb - clearly a lot of thought (and money) invested in the revamp. The only let down was the shambolic bar service -35 minutes waiting for a drink order to appear. The spa is amazing (although the staff on the desk could smile a bit more). The outdoor/indoor thermal pool is sensational"

"Value for money. Yes it’s on the A1 but don’t let that bother you. Inside you can’t hear a thing and all bedrooms are on the opposite side and overlooking the fields to Banburgh Castle and the frame isles lighthouse. The property is in a convenient position to get to many places. Such as the Castle, Holy island, Seahouses and Berwick on Tweed. Good is excellent and the staff are great and friendly. Thanks "

"We had a delightful stay! The house is super tidy and clean, the breakfast is outstanding and Mark and his dad were incredibly friendly and helpful. The house is within easy walking distance to Bamburgh Castle and all the shops and pubs in town. We would highly recommend staying."

"Our stay was excellent , our original room was having maintenance work done so we were upgraded to a Boutique suite which was beautiful , staff were excellent and friendly , evening meal in the restaurant was excellent with a nice atmosphere , and the breakfast was spot on and well organised with no queue for anything and was very calm , all in all a very nice stay."

We had an issue with our bathroom and the staff attended to our needs immediately. Fabulous food, the standard and quality was high end at affordable prices. Would definitely visit Seahouses again, and stay at The Olde Ship Inn. Would recommend to others."
