"I was really unhappy about the state of the cottage. It was once clearly a lovely cottage. Nicely decorated with quality fittings. But it was dirty and grubby. Starting at the front door. Weeds at the doorstep, dirty windows, cobwebs, grubby carpets, marked walls, dirty coasters, unopened mail in piles, filthy kitchen cupboard shelves, cupboards under stairs full of dirt and untidy, kitchen under sink filthy and stinking, back garden full of weeds, absolutely disgustingly filthy velvet...

"Lovely property in quiet county setting. We were a group on 8 friends staying for a long weekend. Plenty of space for us all to sit and relax. Well equipped kitchen, had everything needed to make our stay memorable. An hours walk across the fields to Southwold with its old fashioned pier, fish and chips and Adnams brewery and distillery. We booked a tour of Sizewell B nuclear power station that was well worth a visit!"

"Generally the property was in good order. Unfortunately the garden areas are not well maintained and this detracts from the overall look of the property. The location is ideal for visiting Aldeburgh and the surrounding area. Basic essentials are somewhat lacking and one or two maintenance issues."

"I had a fantastic stay at the Knox this week. The place was so cosy, beautifully decorated and all the amenities were easy to find/use. The bed and sofa were extremely comfy and the fish pond is an EXCELLENT bonus!"

"The property is in an excellent position, close to shops, restaurants and the beach, there was parking outside. The bedding and bathrooms were clean however the carpets and upholstery was very stained/dirty. The fridge door was difficult to open as it has no handle, I realise it didn't quite fit into the space but even a stick on handle on the door would have helped. The courtyard garden was unloved and the patio furniture was dirty. The flowerpots outside the front door were full of weeds,...

"This place exceeded my expectations! We had a group of 11 girls staying here and the house was beautiful, spacious and had everything you could ask for. Jonathan was a pleasure to communicate with and was able to answer questions I had, very promptly and with ease. One of the guests is already looking to book this place again for another event. 100% would recommend."

There is no parking to the side, as the lane is needed for ambulance access. Road parking nearby is very limited. * The kitchen is missing several bits of equipment to cook for a large party. "The property was perfect for myself, my husband and our cocker spaniel. It was comfortable and cosy with a lovely bed and great shower. Communication with the owner, Christina, was perfect. Everything we could have wanted was available at the property including treats for the dog. We enjoyed visiting some lovely towns and villages in the area. Unfortunately the stormy weather stopped us from going walking as there are many footpaths nearby. We would certainly return to this property. "
