"Nothing about this property real blew us away. I think your impression of it is clouded by it being located almost literally in a junk yard, and the outside of the property itself is not as tidy as the pictures lead you to think it is. There are piles of random junk outside and around the patio area. That being said, the inside is better. It's a homey feel, almost like you're at a relative's house. Everything we needed and more was provided. The home could use some cosmetic love, but was overall...

"We are a large family that grew up with a camp at Toledo Bend and decided to celebrate Christmas this year over New Years and recreate some childhood memories and make some new traditions. Our family includes 20 people, ranging from age 6 - 70. 14 of us actually slept at the house and there was plenty of room. The house was a PERFECT size and layout for our gathering. "The cabin was adequate. Relatively clean except for the windows which were disgustingly dirty and barely see thru.The trash clause is silly. Note that the dump site is closed on Wednesdays (best to check the hours beforehand). There were plenty of consumable supplies in the cabin (trash bags, toilet paper, cups, soap, etc.) and bedding.There's plenty of deck space and the sunset is awesome. As expected, the mosquitoes are ferocious. The location is remote so plan you food supply accordingly."

"Everything about this house is awesome. Bedrooms and main area are spacious and comfy. Modern kitchen and bathrooms. Neighborhood is very quiet. Plenty of room for parking cars and boat trailer. The covered pier was so convenient. Nicest, most attentive host we’ve had yet. Sitting on the back covered porch and seeing nothing but lake and trees was so relaxing. All in all is a great place to stay when visiting Toledo Bend."

"The outside property has been neglected. It needs to be cleaned and repaired. We had to clean the chairs before we could sit in them. A lot of junk under the house and standing water which makes mosquitoes. Lots of room for improvement. The inside of the house was great. Very clean and had everything we needed. "
