Awful gym, no internet, tv channels useless
Advertised as having modern equipment, it was a decrepid un air conditioned hall with a couple of old weight machines, all out of order and a miserable ancient tiny exercise bike. Outside was a neglected swimming pool with green stagnant water and a rat swimming across!! NO internet in the room, and it didn't work in reception either. 3 crackly channels on TV only 2 in French and 1 in sport. I left as there was no wind for sailing. What a waste of money!

The hotel is good just for kiters and surfers...
thats all you need if u are on the wather 5-6 hour on day. Adervise hotel is like 2-3 stars. Very expensive drinks in the hotel and food is like Italijan and not like Mauritius, no sea food... dont go there if you are not kiter. The beach is dirty and windy... nothing to see around hotel...

2 star hotel at best
We chose the hotel for its location at one of the world best kiting beaches and for the promised quality of it's installations. Unfortunately the hotel is seriously understaffed, so everything takes for ages. We hardly ever were lucky to get our coffee WITH our breakfast... Only 2 of the 3 hotels are open, only one of the 3 existing swimming pools were usable. Food was boring, bread was baked every 2 days and was between boring and rock like. The "SPA" is a joke. There is NOWHERE to hide from the ear shattering evening animation in the main hall, eiter bear it or go to your room! Beach bar to chill????? No way! The buffet dinner, as already stated was boring, the a la carte restaurant had ants but only A (!!) uninformed training waiter. The food was a bit better than what we payed for anyway. SO- big changes are necessary, money has to be invested. THEN it would be THE location for wind hungry kiters and for divers. Location-only is not enough! I'm sorry for the staff, they can't take much more! PLEASE investors, be wise, it could be a 3-4 star gold mine!

Not a 4 star hotel
The Indian Resort is a good choice if you wish to stay in Le Morne but cannot afford the other 5 star hotels. It is very well located, the beach is beautiful and the swimming pool is also excellent. Other than that, the rooms are big and clean but you expect a bit more for a 4 star hotel at this price. The food is disappointing and the service very slow (but nice). To make it short: our stay was nice but this is clearly not a 4 star hotel, so it is not really a good value for money.

Good location great value no internet
Nice plac especially if you kitesurf as it is on the spot. Downside no internet and little run down but no big deal... If you care about windsports this is the only place to stay.

Horrible Customer Service
Big disappointment. The property is OK and the location is great, but we had so many problems we checked out a day early. The room's A/C didn't work properly making it almost unbearable. The TV was also not working. Finally, the fridge smelled horrible. I raised all those issues for 2 days multiple times. The front desk would send someone every now and then and nothing got fixed. I asked to switch rooms, but they refused, so I checked out. DO NOT STAY HERE! Oh, the food is pretty sub-par as well.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The resort and location is nice but as it's a huge property, it needs some good maintenance. It's noticeable how the premises are getting old and scruffy, so a resort word doesn't quite describe it anymore. Due to the large size and the fact that it's the only accommodation on the prime water sport area, I would consider developing some of the rooms on the side for more guest house style - to serve some of the kitesurfers and provide different type of accommodation option and price range and keeping the middle section of the resort high end - provided that it is maintained back to it's old standard.

Not worthy of the 4-star
Not worthy of the 4-star and the price paid- Longtime wasted at check-in (roughly 1 hour) due to shortage of staff. The personnel themselves were helpful, but you could tell that they were overloaded with work. The lack of maintenance was obvious. For instance, our rooms were on the 1st floor, and a non-functional lift, especially with us having cumbersome luggage, was a let- down. The main room doors were old and worn. The sliding doors to the balcony were creaky and required quite a bit of force to open. Outside, a closer look at the private beach revealed that it was poorly upkept.

Good for unwinding, but far from many locations
The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. However, the service was poor....no one bothered to take care of you. Most of the times you had to find your own spoons and forks at the breakfast table or even your bath towels for the swimming pool. There was no Help Desk or Travel Desk to assist or advice you on the sights that you can see. Only after persistent query, we found that there was a Boat House of the hotel on the beach that provided free water sports activties. The food was repititive... for the only veg humans, the variety was poor. The Indian restaurant did try to give rotis and dal, but the fare was insipid & mostly tasteless. There were also no group activities or games in the evenings... the fat DJ tried to get some people on the dance floor with the same songs & dance moves, but that was all. On 2 nights the same Sega dance was presented....very boring! The private beach is beautiful and the overall ambience of the resort and swimming pool is great.

Please don't go there.
Hotel staff is rude and the service is non-existent. Do yourself a favor never go there. I asked 5 different staff members for a coke during dinner no one served me and it took 45 mins before I saw the manager and spoke to him. At the buffet there were no plates, I asked the chef where the plates were and his response was 'I only cook the food'. By far the worst hotel experience I have had and trust me I have been to hotels all over the world. It is not a true 4 star hotel. Only plus was the sea and the swimming pool.

Only go or the water sports
If you are a kite surfer or wind surfer, there is really no other spot to stay than directly in front of all the action. Amazing location to the op kiting and waves pretty much anywhere. For the resort, I wouldn't recommend until its either bought out or under new management with their bills and taxes paid. We had no water the final 3 nights of our stay and the management couldn't tell us why. Food was very good, friendly staff (not upper management), great kids club location on he beach. Or rooms, if you book a family room, they will try to squeeze you in a old style single and claim they are booked yet the resort was empty. On,y after arguing for hours did they give us a larger room but still not to the standard of even a 3 star room. Moldy spots in bathroom, drywall crmbling around base and list goes on. Resort has soo much potential with a great pool and amazing location, just a lot of details missed.

Not a 4* hotel
The only reason to stay at this hotel is for the convenience of having the kite beach right infront of the hotel. For the price that you pay the hotel is a shambles, no hot water at all, no satelite tv, the drinks at the bar for all inclusive are rearely stocked, the hotel towels are old, worn and ripped, the food is the same every day and rather bland and tasteless, wireless conection is only available in the lobby not in rooms. The standard this hotle is at best a 3* yet advertised as a 4*. The staff are all very freindly but the hotle is in decline.

Great location for sail or kite boarders
The lobby of the Hotel is beautiful, and gives you a great first impression. We requested a ground floor room on arrival, as I had kitesurfing equipment but they said non were available. When we got to our room, there was two single beds instead of a Queen. Suddenly they found another room for us on the ground floor! Service in the Indian restaraunt was average, and service at the cocktail bar was very slow. The hotel is a bit tired, some rooms need upgrade.

Restaturant
Service in the restaurant is poor. You have to wait for a long time to find a table. Even if you find one, it would take ages before they clean it for you and you have to ask ten times before they change the dirty table cloth and you have to go and ask again to get the cutlery onto the table!
