A little dated and basic in terms of decor and in need of some modernisation to fixtures and fittings -- the dishwasher was old and unreliable -- but we loved our holiday and would happily return to Oleron."

Property is a couple minutes walk to the harbour port with plenty of restaurants, ice cream shops, boutiques, bars , fish market etc . Also straight onto the cycling paths. "The property is located in a quiet residential street near to some local shops and about a mile on foot to the Vieux Port - a lovely tree lined stroll. The house is small but perfect for two people. We only used the ground floor - bedroom, shower, wc, kitchen and a nice sunny sitting room leading out into a small garden. NB Access to the basement accommodation is via very steep stairs. Only practical for the young and nimble! The house is a good base from which to explore the wonderful port town...
