Shopping center right across the street is very convenient. Here's the downside: The place can use an overhaul. The industrial decor is dated and the hallway carpeting is old. Rooms are also carpeted, which is not a great idea in a beach resort as carpets can get pretty funky in short order. In...

"The beautiful boutique bed and breakfast had only 12 rooms and an amazing Hacienda style decor in the interior rooms and all surrounding yards and pool. Each room had a full kitchenette. Free parking in front of the property in a quiet safe neighborhood. The owners were friendly and easily available as they live on the property!"

"Perfect Boutique Hotel Experience for our long weekend in warm weather!! Location could not have been better as everything you need is within walking distance. Also had every extra amenity needed for the beach, pool and biking since we flew in and could not bring these things. Will definitely be back very soon and plan to be annual regulars. "

"Dee Jay Beach resort is a great place to stay in Lauderdale by the Sea. Not only us it in a great location, our efficiency was comfortable and roomy. The owner was on site and attended to any needs we had. The backyard was a nice respite from the hectic travel and had a pool and lounge chairs to relax and rest. There was a shopping plaza a short distance away, which housed a super market, a diner, and so much more. A short drive, led us to a great area with lots of restaurants and shops. ...
