"Difficult to find, as only the name of the adjacent hotel, San Ruffino Resort, appears on the sign at the shared driveway. Room decor is in serious need of an upgrade (weird 70’s vibe and a lot of dangling wires) and the kitchenette and bathroom are rudimentary. Landscaping is dreary. Breakfast was basic and seemed like most items came from a supermarket. Helpful and friendly staff and the San Ruffino rResort pool (which Il Poggia guests can use) was pleasant, as were the grounds of the Resort."

"Laura, the reservations manager, was very friendly and hospitable. We were greeted with a welcome drink. Our room was beautiful with a stunning view. The property is spectacular. We loved having dinner at the restaurant—the food and service was incredible. We loved everything about our stay. "
