The kitchen is well appointed but we did have problems with the overly sensitive smoke detector. Communication with Lisa was excellent. She responded immediately to any questions we had. The place is best suited for people who plan to spend most of their time outdoors walking and exploring, since it doesn’t have an outdoor patio or yard. "We've just returned from an amazing stay in Barn End Cottage. On arrival we were welcomed with some delicious home made scones and locally produced cider which got our trip off to the perfect start. The accomodation itself is gorgeous and has a very traditional cottage style, but comes with all modern amenities plus the added bonus of a gaming room which my daughter loved. "We had a lovely stay here, was perfect with the playground on the doorstep and the summer house. My daughter loved it! The pool was perfect too and was a good way to spend the afternoon. Next to our lodge is a field perfect for catching the last hour on golden sunrays. Our host was very friendly and helpful, we certainly hope to come again in the future!"

"The bedrooms were perfect for 3 or 4 friends to share. The kitchen had everything needed. Its almost next to a pub with other lovely pubs within 10 mins drive. It was quiet and peaceful. "

"A home from home with good quality appliances, crockery and towels. The double is on the smaller side and we found the mattress rolled in towards the middle. Lack of ventilation and a blind were other small issues but the pros far outweighed them. The view was stunning. The peace was amazing. The meals we bought were delicious and plentiful! We were overwhelmed with the welcome hamper - it was above and beyond expectations. We definitely recommend and hope to go back."

"We stayed over Christmas this year and the property was extremely toasty and warm! Loads of room for everyone! Hosts were lovely. We didn't visit the pub but we did have a lovely walk on Boxing Day in Ilfracombe, which is very easy to get to and the drove back to Goodleigh via the very beautiful coastal road. If you have prey driven dogs like us be advised the garden is not enclosed, which just means you have to be vigilant when letting your hounds out. There are loads of shops in Barnstaple...

"Wow, we had a 3 bedroom lodge with hot tub, and it was absolutely perfect 👌 Clean, spacious and beautiful views. Staff were very helpful, had to call as the boiler went off, they arrived promptly and fixed in 2mins. Shout out Will, great quiz and funny bingo night. Would come back in a heartbeat 💯"
