"The staff is very friendly but management is occasionally unavailable to assist. When we arrived our reservation couldn't be located by the inexperienced front desk clerks. But we did get resolution with the manager who was accommodating. Our room was missing the AC controller so we had to tolerate a warm room for the first night. "Palais Juliana is a bit faraway from the city center. More a business than a vacation place. The hotel could use some renovation. Limited dining services. Transfer included from and to the airport is convenient, as well as the possibility of a free shuttle around Luang Prabang. "

"1. Took a very long time to confirm the booking, the reception couldn't see any bookings from Hotels.com. 2. Room looks ok at first glance, but ALOT of dust and filth everywhere, only cleaned the most obvious places. 3. Got hungry around 21:30 and figured we would take our bike from the resort to the night market in Luang Prabang, to our surprise the gate to the hotel area was closed and it was not possible to get out. "The location was very central and we were able to walk to all the dining spots. There was so much to choose from. You’re also walking distance from one of the largest night market right along the Mekong river and everything was so reasonable in price. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. "

"My friend and I needed a place to stay for two days until our flight. This guesthouse was very comfortable with two twin beds, en suite, dresser, tv, fridge and ac to use as required. Price was very reasonable. Yard and hotel very picturesque , beautiful woodwork throughout. And very friendly and helpful people. I loved it and would come back . "

Stayed 3 times overall good stay

"Stayed there 3 separate times in the last 18 days. First time everything was great! No complaints. The last 2 night stay we experienced toilet issues. Not being about to fix, they offered to move us. However with being fully booked there was no king size bed available. We opt to stay in the room and use the lobby restroom. "
