"We found the Mount Cook Lodge & Motel to be very unique, in that the units were like small apartments. They had a kitchen, and besides a queen bed in the main room with a pullout sofa and a table, there was a separate bedroom with two twin beds. The bathroom had a heater, which was nice for cold mornings. Everything is close together, so even if you go do activities in the Hermitage, it's nice to come back to the Mount Cook Lodge where it's a little quieter and there are a fewer tourists. "
