"Hotel is a true Borgo style with very friendly staff. Rooms are a good size and nicely furnished. Though they g do not offer coffee making facilities on the room all other tea making facilities are available on room. Beautiful dining and breakfast area with extensive views. Wait staff are friendly and provide excellent service - restaurant food of a high standard and incredibly well priced for such a property. Only drawback is parking which is a walk up/down slight slope but it’s Italy!! Already have friends booking it! "

"The property was exactly as listed - beautiful scenery and far away from neighbours so that you feel comfortable in your own bubble. Due to heavy storms we had a couple of issues with cloudy water and power going out, but the only thing outside of the hosts abilities was changing the weather! Whenever the power went Chiara and Davide came to our aid instantly and were nothing short of understanding and amazing every time. Cannot recommend this villa and host enough. 15/10."

"Loved our time at Borghetto Calcinaia. We enjoyed the pool, views of the lake, the gardens, the nearby towns. Ben was very helpful and we were delighted to have food at the house when we arrived. The property had everything we needed and it's very comfortable. Can't wait to return!"

"We were 8 adults and loved our stay here. Pool is large and warm. Great accommodation. Good sized table outside for eating at. Very good communication before we went and property manager on hand if we needed anything during the stay. There are some lovely hilltop towns within 30 mins of the property, Arezzo is an hour away and there are restaurants and a supermarket 10 mins away. Can thoroughly recommend!!"

"We enjoyed a wonderful fortnight's stay at this beautiful home in the hills outside the village of Monterchi. The house sits on a ridge with far reaching views across the surrounding valleys, particularly stunning from the swimming pool. The owners were kind and thoughtful and there to offer assistance whenever needed. Their recommendations were spot on, especially the gelateria at the end of the Ponte Vecchio in Florence!!! There were so many beautiful places to visit within easy reach that the house was a perfect launch pad into Tuscany and Umbria. A lovely circular walk from the house towards an elegant castle, allows you to enjoy the setting of the house in this rural paradise. The pool, with its kitchen and shower set in gorgeous gardens, was the the star of the show, the only problem was dragging the kids away! We visited in late July/early August when a music fesitval was on and we enjoyed a wonderful evening of open air jazz in the square in Monterchi, filled with locals rather than tourists."

"We had a lovely holiday, the villa had lots of room and the pool was fantastic. Couple of places to have meals and kitchen was good. Interesting area, went to Cortona, Assisi and Arezzo. Also a concert in the village of Anghiari which was magical. Only slight negative, having to buy bottled water. Caroline"

"Our stay was absolutely calming and relaxing. The pool is heavenly, especially after a long days travel And great for sunbathing. We love that the villa was located in the countryside, Where it was quiet and peaceful and no hustle and bustle of urban traffic/people. However, We had fairly close access to several towns such as Arezzo, Florence, and Rome. We were very close to the old medieval town of Anghiari, where we had a delightful lunch At a local restaurant and visited Museums and old medieval churches. Our host Lorenzo and his family were Very helpful and made for a perfect stay at the villa. The villa is very safe and secure. It has a full kitchen and a washer and plenty of space to spread out. The night sky in the evening is absolutely beautiful.This is a must stay and visit destination place. We will definitely return next year!!!"
