Lakefront Cottage on Beautiful Wheeler Lake in Lakewood FAMILY FRIENDLY!

Our 4-bedroom cottage is located on 50 feet of prime frontage on Wheeler Lake. Wheeler Lake is a spectacular spring fed lake around 300 acres. Our property offers stunning views of the lake from all levels and upper deck. Also located on the East shore, take a moment and watch that gorgeous sunset! The newly installed aluminum pier is 32' long, the perfect length for a boat or pontoon, fishing, and jumping into the crystal clear water. The end of the dock has fishing rod holders and BENCH! Tie up your boat to the left, swimming area is on the right with a sand bottom and stairs leading straight into the water. Spend your time here fishing, swimming, or boating on the fully recreational lake. Or, enjoy the area's vast trail system perfect for ATV/UTV's & snowmobiles. We have plenty of space for parking trucks, cars & boat trailers.

Inside the cottage on the main level is a fully equipped kitchen with several small appliances, 4 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, living room furniture, and a dining table. Also on the main level, is a workspace with desk, lamps for extra lighting, and outlets. Perfect for working remote!

We have Starlink internet available and included with this property! Soak up the sun and fresh air while working remotely or streaming your favorite TV shows. We are extremely excited about this feature!

The partially renovated walkout lower level is open concept. Board & batten walls, new flooring, kitchenette, and all new furniture. There is a full bathroom, a Full size sofa bed, sectional reclining sofa, and dining table. The full bathroom is recently renovated from the ground up! It's a work of art! A twin over twin daybed is also in the lower level for extra sleeping space. The kitchenette is complete with cabinets, sink, countertop, microwave & refrigerator. There is also a second smart TV and living room next to the walkout patio overlooking the lake. Laundry is also downstairs. This open concept area is the perfect recreational space for lounging, snacking, and hanging out with friends & family.

Baby gates, pack n' play, booster seat, children’s dishware and child safety locks for cabinets and outlets are available for use also. We are a family friendly rental having small children of our own.

Concrete steps lead down to a paved fire pit area beneath mature Red Pine trees. Located just above the dock where you can take in the sunset and enjoy time around the campfire with family and friends.

Wheeler Lake is a fully recreational lake during the hours of 11:00AM-6:00PM, with no-wake hours before and after. Fish include Panfish, Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. The lake's water clarity is VERY CLEAR. A dock is installed with stairs leading right into the water. We have a dedicated swimming area with a sand bottom, and a separate area to tie up a boat or jet ski(s). The pier is 32' long from the boardwalk. A paddle boat is available for guest use, life jackets are provided. The whole area by the fire pit and dock is well lit at night with dock lights and a flood light. Basic water toys & beach towels are provided for guest use. Patio chairs are also provided. Parking is available for boat & jetski trailers behind the garage (across the road), and to the left-hand side.

A public beach is located across Wheeler Lake with a soft sand bottom and play area perfect for young children. If you own a boat or jet ski(s), there is a public boat launch in the bay of the lake as well.

Lakewood and the surrounding area boasts a vast trail system which can be accessed just a short drive from the cottage. This trail system is perfect for ATV/UTV, snowmobile, biking, hiking, horse and cross country skiing. Also worth noting is a 3 STORY candy & ice cream shop, an 18-hole golf course right off of HWY F, a local winery, large grocery store, a new Dollar General, and several bars and restaurants open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our cottage is not directly on the trail system, but you can access the trails just a short ride away. For more information about the area's vast trail systems, check out the local clubs, Paul Bunyan Riders Snowmobile Club (Lakewood) & Red Arrow Snowmobile-ATV Club (Townsend).

Great Location and Awesome View
We loved our stay at this cottage. We are a big group and this cottage did the job. The view of the lake is amazing and the actual waterfront cannot be beat. It has shallow water and sand for the littler kids to play in, but gets deeper off the end of the dock for the older kids and adults, and it’s still sandy! Clean and comfortable all around. It is very close the neighbors on each side, but everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely stay. Will be back next year!

Another great stay at Wheeler Lake. This place is amazing. Everything you could need for a lake stay, right down to the beach towels. We had a great time on Wheeler Lake! The cabin was clean, well-stocked, and plenty roomy for my husband & me, our 3 adult children, & their significant others. Sitting around the bonfire, kayaking & paddle-boarding on the lake, and daily rounds of golf kept us busy all day & evenings/nights playing games in the nice new basement made for a great trip! It’s all about the lake!
Best part of this place is the lakefront. Crystal clear water, beautiful sand for swimming, nice dock and dock chairs, great fire pit area and beautiful sunsets. (A couple of kayaks would be a great addition to the property,). Cottage had everything we needed. Grandkids loved it too!

Annual family trip to the north woods
Our stay was amazing! Everything in the cabin was new and modern ,, great dish washer, comfy beds, central air, two full bathrooms! ... I could go on and on. The boat dock was super study and new ... love it cuz we are boat people. And the beach area was super clean and sandy. It was a win for everyone in our group. Added bonus ... super close to town. This home was everything we could have asked for! Jina was a gem to deal with and was totally accessible. She had everything a family could need and some things that were great extras. The bathroom was stocked with extras that you may have forgotten and she even left snacks! Thank you so much. The swimming area is totally sandy and great for everyone. Just pack your clothes, Jina has thought of everything else. Grocery store is super close and such a nice area for walking. We already booked for next year. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Our week at the cottage was so nice, being on Wheeler Lake says it all, taking rides on our boat or just being in the water off your pier, so much fun for my family, the cottage works for us too, you have everything we need their, enjoyed it very much, the only complaint for me was all the steps, ha ha !! Would love to rent it again next year, same dates.

Gorgeous location wonderful accommodations
We had a wonderful time celebrating our one year anniversary with our family and friends. The home is beautiful and spacious. The location is right on the lake with a dock and swimming area to float and enjoy the sunshine with friends. There are fun local bars and restaurants and a grocery store all within 5 minutes! The owners were communicative and timely in their communications. The accommodations were extremely welcoming with all the amenities and supplies one would need for a great memory making vacation. Strongly recommend.

Wheeler Lake is just beautiful!
We enjoyed our stay at Jina's lake house on Wheeler Lake. The pictures on-line are accurate. No surprises there. We found the house very clean upon our arrival. Kitchen was well stocked and the beds comfortable. The fire pit was nice with a great view of the water. The lake water is absolutely crystal clear. When you step into the water you will be standing on a hard sand bottom. However, be advised there is a steep drop off when you get past the end of the pier. I found the water to be about 6 feet deep around 15 feet from the end of the pier. This limits the area you can stand in the water and play. Wheeler Lake is just beautiful and we utilized the lakeside deck to watch every sunset during our stay. Lakewood is small but has plenty to offer. We recommend visiting Cathedral Woods, have a picnic on Bass Lake beach, climb the Mountain Fire Lookout Tower for amazing views, take a hike around Thunder Mountain, enjoy Sweet Memories Candy shop and take a 45 minute drive east to visit Veterans Falls in Marinette County. It was one of 15 waterfalls you can see in Marinette County. If you like you like riding trails on your RTV/UTV, Lakewood is the place to be. Many trails to choose from and places to rent RTV's. One thing we didn't like was the lack of storage in the bedrooms. If you are traveling with 7 days of clothes you might find that there aren't enough drawers. Jina is a wonderful host. Probably the most responsive I've come across staying at VRBO rentals. We would happily return for another stay.

We loved it!
My family enjoyed this cottage on the lake so much! It was the perfect size for all of us, 5 adults and 5 kids in all. There were lots of nice little touches that made our experience here better. The host was very responsive with communication and has thought of everything! There were plenty of towels and bathroom essentials, lots of kitchen tools and gadgets and even some s’mores supplies for the fire. The kids loved fishing and swimming off the dock and had fun on the paddle boat. Lakewood is a nice small town that isn’t too crowded with tourists, and the 3 story ice cream and candy store is so fun! Overall, I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away and relax with friends or family.

This property is on a beautiful part of Wheeler Lake. Loved the neighborhood and the deck down on the water. 4 comfortable bedrooms and a large, open, updated lower level provided plenty of room. Property was charming and very well equipped for a very comfortable stay and alot of fun.
