"A well aged puzzle piece bach, in NZ forest, tucked down a dead end road. Surprising amount of traffic on the road during our stay. Neighbours were quite noisy also but the bach had everything we needed. Hot water for a shower was a bonus. The old Shacklock range is prone to smoking out the bach but I think we figured it out after a few days. Reliable cell service is back at the Orwell Creek Road turnoff, for those wondering. "Good location with proximity to the shops, forest walks and the thermal pools. Considering the cost of the rental, the house did not meet my expectations. It is a basic rental which requires some attention. One of the single mattresses needs replacing as does the couch in the dining room, with both sagging badly and not fit for use. Erratic shower pressure and temperature of water. Good wifi. We did not use the cottage."
