Such a beautiful property and surreal setting. Definitely recommend and our family will booking again.
Thank you for being such great hosts. My daughter still talks about the cake.
Property is quiet, comfortable, and well-maintained. Enjoyed the sounds of the river, the deck and swimming hole, and relaxing by the fire (propane) in the evenings. Great location for accessing the river in different spots, the lake, and Duncan. Very comfortable bed and pillows, wish I always slept that well. Highly recommend. Hope to be back.
A fantastic spot with great hosts right on the River. Close enough to drive anywhere you need. Lots of great hiking in the area. Be sure to tube the river both on site and a short trip away in Lake Cowichan. A super spot!
Hosts were welcoming and friendly! When we saw them, they felt familiar and were lovely to chat to. The stay was a beautiful recharge in a stunning setting. We swam as much as we possibly could and now have a new motto that essentially boils down to the fact that we won’t buy property if it’s not on a river. The bed was comfy, pillows were perfect (I have some in my online shopping cart now) and the space was clean. They have a beautiful pup and possibly an orange kitty - both of whom I fell in love with instantly. Lovely setting, lovely hosts, perfect vacation!
We loved our short stay at the property. Beautiful grounds and the river is crystal clear. We loved all of the storage space in the Airstream, the coffee nook and all of its amenities. You literally just need to being your clothes and food. If I lived closer I would make this a frequent getaway spot. The hosts are lovely.
Thank you Rob and Sandy!
My family (2 adults and 8y/o) along with our dog stayed at the airstream for 2 nights. Incredible gardens, total privacy, the river is steps away with a great spot for swimming. Our dog was so happy, lots of space to run and explore. Hazel the property dog was a delight and so friendly. Very comfortable beds for both us and the kid. I can’t say enough good things. The hosts are so kind, we can’t wait to some back.
Gorgeous property with lovely hosts! The listing is spot on. In addition to the fire pit and bbq area, they have lots of fun outdoor games and water toys to enjoy. We’ll definitely be back!

The airstream and hosts Sandy and Rob are very special! The property and surrounding hikes on the Cowichan River were the highlight of or trip to Vancouver Island. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! Next time!!
thanks to the owners who provided a great experience. The private garden that comes with the rental was magnificent my dog loved it. It was very safe to let him wander on his own. Highly recommended for those that love "glamping" the outdoor experience with all the luxuries! Coquitlam river is a must for any hiking enthusiast.
This cozy trailer is on the owners property adjacent to the river. Many forest walks await with the provincial park nearby. If you are looking for a quiet location to recharge your batteries this is it. The bed was super comfy, bbq worked well and propane heater in the trailer worked well. Only thing lacking is wifi if you need it. Unplug and enjoy. You won’t regret it!
I was so impressed with the hosts ability to make you feel welcome and at home. Their property and layout is so beautiful. Their pictures do not do this spot justice. They have taken so care in making sure you have all the comforts of home. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. I actually slept in for the first time in years. Wish i had booked a longer stay. Will next time for sure
The location was very nice and quiet. Well maintained trailer. Everything was well provided in the trailer, for cooking (including spices, even tea, coffee and cream!), for bathroom needs (shampoo and shower need), and sleeping arrangement. The hosts were great, friendly and easily accessible. Would have been perfect with wifi accessibility inside the trailer. Wifi is available outside the trailer. Sandy wrote down great notes to show us the points of interest around. The location is close to the little towns around, and close to the Cowichan River tubing. Great place to stay for 2 people. It cools nice very nicely at night.
The property was quite magical! Everything written on the listing was included. We brought way to much stuff. Really food and clothes is all you needed. The only thing that would have been nice is a plug in coffee pot to keep the coffee hot rather than drip. The bed was quite comfortable Our favorite thing to do was sit in the river on the hot days. Beautiful property! Thank you Rob and Sandy for sharing your magical property with us! Great hosts!!

Lovely gardens but...
Robert and Sandy were very gracious hosts and their property is lovely and well kept. However, the listing didn't note that the trailer is from 1965! It was fine but a bit rickety (had to jerry-rig freezer door to keep close, tape used to repair screen, some windows don't open anymore, propane not on in trailer so had to cook out in the rain). As mentioned, the property was lovely but no access to the river where I didn't feel I was intruding on the host's space and you can't see the lovely river from the trailer area.
It was so very peaceful, the sound of the river the wildlife was beautiful.
The Hosts are extremely courteous and and accepting of our reactive dog. Its a beautiful place lots to do around the area. We will definitely be back.
Rick and Sandy were amazing hosts, Sandy made us scones from freshly picked berries as well as crumble, such a sweet gesture. It felt very private even though we were on the same property. They had all kinds of fun stuff to do and lots of floaties for the river. We had our very own swimming area. We spent a week here and 5 of those days was on the water. Perfect location and very quiet. We loved our stay.
Exceeded our expectations in every way ! The hosts were so friendly and hospitable and we were thrilled with how beautiful the river and the property was. The airstream was lovely and cozy and well equipped. The outdoor food prep area, BBQ and table and chairs was such a treat after camping!
Thanks for a wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful time at this property. The hosts were super nice (including Hazel the dog), the trailer was clean and well-equipped, and the grounds are gorgeous. The trailer is located near some beautiful hikes. The hosts provided some little boats to float around in the river. We had a fantastic time.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Airstream which is in amazing shape for its age. Very comfortable, great little shower and all the amenities we needed to enjoy a week away. The property is situated right on the river, deep in the lush forest.we will definitely be going back!
Rob and Sandy were the nicest hosts we could ask for - they were super accommodating, and extremely patient with us as we learned our lessons with not making a ferry reservation! We loved staying here and enjoying the river, especially along side their sweet pup Hazel who we’ll miss so much! Will definitely be back in the future.
