"We have been to portmahomack several times but this was our first stay in this property. It had everything we could need for a cozy/comfortable stay and as the weather was kind to us, made full use of the deck to take in the scenery "

"Fantastic situation which suited us and our 2 dogs perfectly. You need to be organised with food due to the nearest shop being over 30 miles away but that being said we found some fantastic eateries on our road trips around the area. The negatives are that the ceiling are very low the stairs awkward and narrow and the condition is basic. Take chairs with you so that you can enjoy the sun trap garden. Luckily we had really good weather (last week in Apri)"

"Overall a wonderful week in idyllic surroundings. Bed uncomfortable and quite small for a couple (although we are used to a King Size at home. Well equipped cottage. Log burner was absolutely lush, but necessary, as the cottage got quite cold at night, missing that the most now we are home! Spotlessly clean on arrival you could smell the bleach! Came home recharged and ready for the winter. Would definitely book this cottage again in the future, beautiful area of the country and lots of...

"Beautiful location, sunrises & views were breathtaking. Lucky enough to watch a dolphin & calf playing in the bay one day as well as lots of sea birds including the Gannets diving for their catch. Could be absolutely perfect but was slightly let down by cleanliness of the property & no double bed in any of the bedrooms. Despite that would definitely recommend & would stay again if holidaying in the area."

"Very nice house, handy for all local shops pub etc. Slightly tricky access in and out of the parking area. Need to be careful on the staircase - an older property so nothing can be done but could be an issue for some people or small children."

"Difficult to find once on the road but a quick call to the owners sorted that. My only criticism is the cottage is dark, but if there was good lighting in the lounge that would help. I had to move. A bedside light into the lounge as it was a depressing light, whoops I forgot to put it back. Sorry. Having said that I would happily stay here again, it was almost perfect."
