"Very convenient location right near the main square. Downside was i could hear the snake charmers constantly from the hotel. The rooftop is great to sit in the sun and have tea. Easy to walk to most of the sights. The central location is handy but comes with the downsides. I woke up early before dawn and leaving the hotel for a walk felt unsafe. I saw an asian girl standing outside waiting for her taxi scared stiff. If your not alone I think its much better."

"I enjoyed my stay at Riad Ksar Anika. It’s located on a quiet road, away from, but close enough to the hustle and bustle of the city centre. I walked everywhere. The service was great, with the reception staff going as far as providing me with a full lunchbox after I had told him during my checkout that I was going to take a bus to Essaouira later that day. "Happy for the price. Pool was closed despite 31 degrees but it was November. The hotel is in line with the standard to expect and if you are a first timer you may feel it is lacking in ways. Go without expectations and you will be pleasantly surprised. The staff at the hotel were great and helpful. It was quire at night and taxi to the main square is 5 euros.
