"We had a wonderful holiday, the perfect blend between out-and-about every day to local markets and towns, lunches, wine and chilled beers in shady squares. "We enjoyed our hosts immensely -- always helpful, full of fantastic suggestions for local things to try and to do - from night markets, wineries, to beaches and more! The pool was so nice to come home to, and we didn't have enough time to try all the games, bikes, and things available on site! It felt like home away from home in a region of France that is so relaxed, friendly, and welcoming. We were very grateful for our time there. Thanks to Leslie and Felix."

"We had a perfect stay in Elske’s beautiful property in Chadenac. It is really well equipped with a lovely warm pool and plenty to keep us amused such as basketball, table tennis and trampolining. We were looked after very well by Elske’s Team. It was perfectly situated for trips into the château town of Jonzac and historic Pons and only 40 minutes from the estuary towns of Mortagne and Talmont. A stay here is very highly recommended."

"We weren’t disappointed by this property at all. We stayed for 3 nights while attending a wedding . I will say that this place while soundproofed, is not quiet, you can hear people in other rooms. The beds could be a bit more comfortable too. Other than that, our room was clean, the staff were friendly and spoke English. The location is beautiful, we loved Jonzac and would return. "

"Had a lovely time in your chateau, thanks very much. The house was really beautiful, loads of space and lots of quirky features like the piano, vintage bicycles and attic rooms. Lady next door selling local cognac was very friendly. At night the sky was so dark, excellent for stargazing. The river charente is lovely for swimming in. Super!"
