Casa Vina is a rare find, in a very tranquil and private setting and yet just a few minutes’ walk from the historic city of La Orotava, and excellent bars and restaurants. The recently refurbished house and gardens, sun terraces, pool and spa and superb outdoor kitchen have spectacular views of Mount Teide, the forests and hills below and the Atlantic Ocean. For the environmentally aware we provide filtered water, no more plastic bottles, and all your electric is from our own solar power facility and we provide a free car charging point subject to certain conditions. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings, the resort of Puerto de la Cruz 10 minutes away, the wonderful countryside or one of many local beaches.
We are proud that Casa Vina has recently been awarded the highest rating on another platform for our environmental policies. All our electricity is now from our own solar array and we provide free charging for electric vehicles, subject to some conditions. We also provide filtered water so you do not have to buy plastic bottles and a full recycling service for food, toiletries and recyclable rubbish where practical.
The space
The stunning setting is not the only reason to stay at Casa Viña. Set in the corner of our finca and a plantation of avocado bushes, this is the perfect place to unwind.
Chill out on one of 4 terraces, or in the pool, spa or professionally designed gardens. Enjoy the various themed areas and relax in the yoga/meditation corner. The gardens and terraces are also designed for small, quiet gatherings, subject to our prior permission and local regulations.
Enjoy using the outdoor kitchen with both gas and wood fired bbqs, small pizza oven and fridge freezer, or the fully equipped indoor kitchen, and dine either indoors or outside. Feel free to pick a lemon for your G&T, or mint for your mojitos, when available. There's a herb garden next to the outside kitchen for you to use, and fresh fruit in season from our finca. Don’t feel like cooking? There are dozens of restaurants in the area that we can recommend. We can also provide, by prior arrangement, an evening meal and/or barbeque during your stay, and on your arrival you will find a generously filled welcome basket of food, drinks and even ice. We can also arrange to provide breakfast with freshly baked bread.
On cooler evenings snuggle indoors in front of the wood burning stove or sit out under the stars with the glow from the designer fire pit warming your toes. There’s a telescope on the moon terrace to get a better view of the skies above.
The house has been fully refurbished by local craftsmen to a high standard, and comes fully furnished and equipped with everything you need for a good holiday. We provide the best quality linens, dressing gowns and slippers, outdoor and beach towels for you to use during your stay, and if you do forget something essential we may well have it for you in our home next door.
In the luxurious living area there are two three-seater settees along with other seating, as well as a smart TV with Sonos sound bar and there is of course wifi in every room and the garden.
All three bedrooms can be configured as either twin or double beds. The large sofa bed in the main living area can be screened off from the kitchen and dining areas for added privacy. Throughout the house and garden we have commissioned original pictures and sculptures for you to enjoy.
Swim in the infinity waterfall pool or simply float your cares away gazing at the amazing views of Teide and the ocean.
