"The room smelt of bad drains. In fact the whole corridor smelt awful as we were walking to the room. We were so tired from the journey we put up with it and mentioned it at reception when paying. It was met with a shrug of the shoulders, as if it wasn't their problem. Nothing was deducted from the bill, so we paid alot for a really poor experience and shan't be returning. "We spent a really relaxing week in this away cosy cottage. The heated pool is fantastic – our first four days were very hot and it was brilliant to be able to use the pool to relax and cool off. The grounds around the cottage are mainly meadow with some wonderful old trees and also an abundance of buddleia bushes which attracted a wide variety of butterflies. We were welcomed with a gift of goats cheese from the creamery along the lane and some honey from Lucas's hives! Everything in the house...
