"We have stayed here in the past, and we used to keep our boat in their marina. the staff, the property, the rooms are all very enjoyable. One of the best things: access by water taxi to the town of Barra Navidad , across the channel. Many great restaurants and shops there. Sometimes there are local festivals there, which makes it a fun, local experience. Lovely local folks. "

"We loved our time at Angel’s Haven. The house is beautiful and architecturally unique. Nice outdoor patio area beside a small, but very appreciated, pool: nicely laid out and functional kitchen/dining/living on the main floor, and nice bedrooms on the upper floors. The views are great, but it comes with the price of being near the top of a steep road that’s a good 15 minute walk to the beach. Also, access to the upper floors is via 2 sets of steep circular stairs, so I wouldn’t recommend it for those with mobility issues. It was our first visit to La Manzanilla and we loved that it’s a great beach town that’s comfortable for tourists but isn’t overrun with them. It mainly caters to retired Canadians and Americans. In terms of communication, both Sandra and the house manager were quick to respond to our needs. We wouldn’t hesitate returning."

"We just loved this spot! The layout of the property, our coffees on the deck area overlooking the property, Siegfried our host, just so many good things. The kitchen is equipped with the bare essentials. We didn’t cook at all there, so that wasn’t an issue. The bed was quite a bit different from what we are used to - more on the hard side. There weren’t many pillows (2 with very small throw pillows) A fan would have been nice on the hot nights. There is a ceiling fan above the bed but it lacked power. We borrowed a fan from family for the few nights we needed it Those little things pale in comparison to the overall excellence of our stay. I only mention them so future guests can prepare.
