"Great hotel for a week skiing La Clusaz, the hotel has its own vehicle to transfer you to one of the 2 lifts or the Tour Village bus passes every 10 mins. Spa is excellent with ice cave, sauna, rain shower and small pool, also a relaxation room with herbal teas. Hotel recommended we book restaurants prior to our visit which we did and was a good job we did as restaurants were turning people away. "I begrudgingly offer a glowing review, begrudgingly because it will make this wonderful hotel a little bit more popular and a little bit more expensive. "The location is very rural and quiet. The hotel rooms are fine however the bathrooms are dated. Our room and our friends room had hairs all over the bathroom floor and in the bath so it was not clean enough. We had booked the restaurant for dinner and it was not busy when we arrived. "Amazing boutique style hotel, great location 2 min away from main parking garage , right on the middle of the main city ….very friendly and helpful stuff. but before you book the smallest room, please be aware that you will be facing a wall of the other part of the hotel building which is 5ft away from your window and you will mostly experience a dark environment all day . Family Ski Holiday

"We were 2 families staying in the chalet for a ski holiday. It was perfect for what we needed. In a quiet location just outside Le Grand Bornand. We had cars and drove down to the lift every day which worked well. We walked down in to the town one day although the hill back up is quite steep. Highly recommended."

Lovely apartment at Chinaillon

"A very compact and fully equipped apartment; the place is clean and very convenient to the ski lift. Everything is as described and the parking lot is a plus.The only problem is there is no wifi, that is very difficult and we have to walk to the Tourism office and sat there for wifi; as my phone network was not good."

Great chalet with wonderful views

"This was our second stay in this chalet and we had another thoroughly enjoyable week. The chalet is warm and clean and benefits from the sun streaming into the property. Le Grand Bornand is a great village with restaurants and shops and the ski area is friendly and perfect for family or leisure skiing. Would be very happy to stay again some day !"

"Family ski trip. The accommodation is beautiful the apartments are comfy and cosy. The spa is great after a days skiing. We took advantage of the in-house catering which was great after a days skiing."

A disappointing start to our holiday

"We arrived to be met by a lady who could not speak any English; my husband speaks French but we struggled to follow her. The apartment was very dusty and had cobwebs with mould in the shower cubicle. It was musty and felt as if it had not been cleaned since winter. Our details with VBRO had listed bed linen and towels - as had Abritel, the French site - but there were none at the apartment. We called the lady who shouted at us on the phone but eventually arrived to argue more, saying we had to pay extra. We pointed out that linen and towels were included and listed on the sites but she would not accept it. She eventually went to one of the other apartments in the block and returned with 2 small bath towels and three small hand towels (for three adults for a week). She gave us very damp bed linen and left in a hurry. We had no more contact with her or anyone else for the week. We left the apartment cleaner than when we first went in. We love the area - we used to live not too far away for many years - but this left a bad taste. We will not be returning to this chalet apartment."

Family vacation.

"The house itself is okay. Bedding was not like in the pictures. Beds were not made when we arrived. Had to search for sheets and put them on ourselves. The hot water seems to be controlled by the owner and it was turned off one night. Could not take showers until the morning. We did contact them but got no response. The upstairs bathroom door does not lock or close. Had to move a shelf in front of it to keep it closed. The middle bathroom has mold on the ceiling."
