"It was a lovely place to stay, though reception closes at 5.30pm so can be a bit tricky if you get there late. However, they do send the instructions which are clear. The continental breakfasts are good. The staff lovely and spoke English. My only problem was getting the TV to work, though I didn't really watch much. I would be happy to stay there again. Convenient walk to metro and eateries"

" This hotel is an excellent choice for tourists in Barcelona, offering a central and convenient location for everything. The staff is very friendly and accommodating; we were able to store our luggage at the hotel since we arrived early and left late. The breakfast is outstanding, and they also provide complimentary drinks, coffee, and beer 24/7. Highly recommended!"

"The property was good. I know it says THE 8 Boutique B&B not it’s just the Bed minus the Breakfast. The owner was very helpful. The bathroom is really nice and modern. As for the room it was nice and big. Look like from an IKEA catalogue."

Since returning home over 6 months ago I have raved to dozens of people about how amazing and incredible this hotel is and I have recommended every single one of them if they travel to Barcelona, they should stay here. I was here in mid July so the weather was bright and sunny and 30 degrees every day so the air conditioning within the hotel was much needed; I would honestly say that it is some of the best air con I’ve ever had in Europe. "I stayed 11 nights for working and pleasure purposes and I enjoyed my stay. The Internet connection is reliable and fast for working. My room was a good size with a nice desk, sofa, TV with Chromecast and the bed was very comfy. Bathroom was spacious and the shower worked marvelously. Property is well maintained and it's close to 2 metro stations for 2 different metro lines, L1 and L4."

"The Hotel Lamaro is an absolute gem! It is on a large pedestrian square, directly opposite the Barcelona Cathedral which we had a view of from the room’s balcony. The entire place is immaculate and our room was spacious and well set up. Although some of the furnishings (such as upholstered chairs in the halls need to be replaced), the rest of the hotel was recently and tastefully redone. We had breakfast as part of our room rate and the buffet was fabulous. There is a rooftop bar/restaurant with a view of the cathedral which was wonderful. But the best part about the hotel was the staff: truly exceptional!! Friendly, helpful, professional. If you’re looking for a place to stay in the Gothic Quarter, you can’t miss with the Hotel Lamaro!"

Best Weekend away!

"Me and my mate really enjoyed our stay here at Occidental! We were in Barcelona for the Half Marathon and this hotel was the perfect place to relax and rewind after our long days. We were offered complimentary champagne on arrival and check in was super smooth. The pool and spa facilities were fantastic, really adding that extra recovery and comfort to our stay. The buffet breakfast was so great with a variety of different food options. To finish off the room was very tidy/clean and the beds were very comfy indeed! Staff were super helpful, we will definitely return sometime soon."
