Good: Quick check-in and friendly staff. Nice view of castle from room. Bad: Pillows are so flat that I can’t sleep well. TV seems like 2010 condition, remote control buttons are no sensitve and difficult to navigate. Location a bit far from shopping street.

Overlooking the castle, this was in a great location, ands easy walk to the restaurants of the town. The room was classical and spacious well laid out. It was a short but very comfortable stay. Parking was very easy.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location is great for visiting Kumamoto Castle but it is a little far from the main shopping and restaurants.

It's right across from Kumamoto Castle Park. I wish I had booked a room on the castle view side, as there's not much to see from the other side. But the room was nice and remodeled in lovely greens. Very relaxing. I reserved a single room, but was given a twin room. Loved all the space and large bathroom with full suze bathtub.

Beautiful views of Kumamoto Castle day and night with the best breakfast buffet every morning! Loved that they had Kumamoto specific foods on the breakfast buffet and great mix of Japanese and western cuisine. There was ample parking and very easy to get to and from different locations around Kyushu. Bathrooms in the rooms are a little on the older side but still work just fine. Would stay again the next time we visit the area!

Wonderful view!
Our room had a stunning view of the castle at both day and night. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and staff were friendly and helpful. If you have limited time in Kumamoto city but want to maximise your sightseeing opportunities, I think this is the perfect base.

A Room With An Outstanding View
It was a very pleasant stay and the view was amazing. From the hotel room, we had a picture-perfect view of Kumamoto Castle. That was a key highlight. The room was comfortable, but the hotel felt too big and formal for the type of travel I was doing. I felt a little out of place, as it is a very elegant event/banquet hotel (clearly designed to host weddings). Nonetheless, it was clean, comfortable, quiet, beautifully located right across the street from the castle, and the staff were exceptionally professional, efficient, and courteous. I parked a car, and the daily rate was reasonable. I would gladly stay at this hotel again.
