"Friendly staff and facilities at the hotel are good. Nearest beach is a rocky beach. Last few KM of the road leading to the hotel is very poor. This section needs to upgrade and possibly out of hotel managements' control. They may need to coordinate with the neighboring hotels and the local authority. However, signs leading to the hotel from the main road is not very clear. Google maps lead to a circuitous route. Need to upgrade the signs leading to the hotel in every junction and this is under hotel management. "

The food served at the restaurant was reasonably proced and delicious, and the hotel is very close to Mirissa Beach and Turtle Point. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly and accomodating, making our stay a very positive experience. "There are 3 hotels in the Somerset group. This is away from the beach. Its up a very steep narrow concrete road. Its dark in the night and only 1 vehicle can go up or down this dark narrow road. The hotel staff are really nice. The rooms are a bit dated. The breakfast buffet was a joke as compared to hotels we have stayed in colombo. There was no buffet. Just a plate of fruit and eggs if you asked. Better stay is closer to the beach and somerset has a hotel right on tne beach"
