Adequate for "camping" in the city
Bare basics for a two night stay: Camping with a bed, bathroom, and shower.
Tried calling for after-midnight arrival instructions - they said "no problem."
If no one is at the "office", there's a sign on it directing you to another floor/location - which is
probably why I couldn't reach them earlier. I had no problem checking in at 10pm.
The Mirador Mansion is part of a mixed-use shopping arcade with rooms/apts in the 15 floors above it. It looks pretty run down and beat. Elevators can be busy/crowded during the day/evening with lines forming to squeeze into the 6-passenger cars.
My room was part of a four(?) room suite. An electronic proxy card gets into the suite; a key into the room. The room is like a large closet. As advertised, there are no windows, so you won't know if its day/night w/out a clock. The in-room recirc air conditioner had a remote and WORKED REALLY WELL.... I was able to set it to 16C/60F. That made it comfortable enough.
The shower/toilet/sink are in a booth. The positionable handheld shower is mounted directly above the toilet, but you can aim it over the floor at the sink. Not a problem... keeps the toilet and sink clean/rinsed.
This place is bare basics and conveniently located to the Tsim Sha Tsui East station and other transportation. Great for the solo traveller who just needs a place to sleep and rest. Not a place to impress companions (or anyone else). WiFi worked fine and was my window to the outside world.
