The balcony was sunny and pleasant but overlooked a busy road with associated traffic noise. We hadn't realised it was more than walking distance (for us!) to amenities so it was necessary to drive everywhere. For that reason alone we are unlikely to return but it is a good base for touring the locality."

The climb up the hill was challenging but we managed, the view from the deck was worth the climb. If you want a cab you need to phone them, you cannot stop at their street side office and ask for a ride. "I did really enjoy my two weeks at Villa Oreastro. To start with the hosts Johanna and Rob, very friendly and supportive - I really felt being in good hands. "Very quaint and the views are stunning. A little off the beaten path but absolutely worth the climb up the hill. Host is accessible and the apartment is very clean. Treats and fruit were avaible upon our arrival and much appreciated after a long day of travel. Some good authentic greek restaurants in walking distance or just 1 min drive from the apartment. Highly recommend booking this location when planning a trip to Crete! Again the views are amazing!!!"
