"Had a lovely and comfortable stay that exceeded expectations for a motel. Sonia was nice and helpful and gave us great recommendations for food. Try the Dulcie fish and chips (try the kumara chips!) by sunset point. Would recommend both the motel and the fish n chips! "

"This property is very unique and one used by at least some of the bicycle tours. There are sheds for charging e-bikes, cottages, rooms in the old Bank of New Zealand and the hotel. We stayed in a cottage which was excellent for our needs, being able to have breakfast, cook when we wanted or go to the Hotel restaurant which had very good food. We were within easy commuting distance to various sites and hiking trails, that were excellent."

"Stayed for 2 nights Feb 2025. Our room had a log cabin feel to it and was cosy with a small kitchen area. Bathroom was small but functional and clean. Cabin backed onto the railway tracks but we only heard 2 trains the entire visit so not a problem. The selling point of this property has to be access to the beach, just spectacular! Laundry room with washers/dryers was useful. Plenty of dining options in Hokitika, we drove but it is a 20 minute walk."
