"We came to celebrate our honeymoon, the location of the hotel is in an area far from the center of Phangan, but quiet and charming with a very small avenue of nice restaurants and a mini market. "The Explorar Koh Phangan was an amazing property. The staff was awesome. Breakfast buffet was great. The pool, the room, fitness center all great. Not to mention an amazing sunset every night. Would highly recommend and would definitely return. "

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Arrived to find a deserted hotel. Initially thought great but then was told no restaurant in low season even though we paid for breakfast. Steep road to cabins which taxi drivers wont drive down and need transport to get everywhere from it, even to a 7/11 which was supposed to be 400m away. Ninas coffee shop was around the corner and lovely. Nina helped us get taxis and said that the hotel has always had problems, no one stays. Aircon was not working in room even though...

"Staff were excellent. The fact it had everything self contained was great. Met many new friends there. Was impressed from the moment I arrived and got better as the stay extended. Price per night was great. Internet needed some work but that seemed to be the case for most of Koh Phangnon. "

"The property was absolutely gorgeous, almost like a dream, with 2 beautiful shaped pools and a connected waterfall, with frangipangi trees and blossoms everywhere. The nearby beach (Mae Haad) is just gorgeous. The room cleaning service staff was excellent. The front desk and restaurant staff were pleasant but not super sharp. The restaurant had a nice breakfast and very good Thai food. Some of the non Thai food that we had was mediocre."

"Very nice place, bungalow right on the beach, the staff helped me with an issue on arrival, location is walkable to the main restaurants in Sritanu and Zen beach. Small safety box, pretty quiet air conditioner, Didn't try the restaurant. The pool is nice, but the water was a bit too hot for me. "

"Room was basic but hospitable enough, bathroom was unbearable, standing water outside the bathroom window and a broken mosquito net caused thousands of mosquitos to continue to flood the room. Spent the while stay killing them and blocking the gaps on the bathroom door to prevent them coming into the bedroom. Left as soon as we could "

"Reading some of the reviews here made me almost cancel the reservation people. Please be kind when you review a place that the only shortcoming it’s is location on the hills on top of the seashore, which was a perfect location for us to feel loved was for bedroom amazing view, amazing pool. "Absolutely gorgeous villa. Beautifully designed with views that come straight out of most people’s idea of ‘idyllic’ . However, you need to understand that to get this kind of view on a small and busy island - it is by necessity REMOTE .. not ‘a bit away from town’ REMOTE with an incredibly difficult road that requires an experienced 4WD driver to reach the villa. "Wonderful property and staff Literally steps to the beach. Quaint little street connected to the property with very good western food 7/11 and mini marts within 5 min walk. Cute pool lots of families with small kids so not a party place but very cool and chill. Very calm water waist deep paddleboards available. Nice sun rise location if weather permits. Only negative might be pool hours 7 to 7 Great spot would return again"
