"This is a beautiful old hotel in a spectacular location with every room having a fabulous view of the lake and the church on the island; very clean, charming staff, lovely large bedroom and good bathroom; BUT. we had the hardest bed we have ever had AND for the three nights (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) we were staying, there was no bar and no restaurant functioning for anything other than breakfast. "A lovely hotel, very comfortable bed, great facilities and breakfast. We had a lake view room with balcony and the views were picture perfect. Could watxh that view for hours!!! The only minor criticism was how hot the rooms were. Having travelled around Europe, we have experienced this before but the hotel was in winter mode to keep it heated. Air conditioning isnt available until later in the year. The lady on reception advised us to keep the balcony door open to air the room. The area was perfectly quiet so this worked well. Would recommend this hotel and would return again."
