"Wouldn't call this exactly a hotel, it's more like some family owned bunch of rooms in a big house. But they are well maintained and convenient enough, although quite simple. The location is nice, meters from the sea and a lot of restaurants on the promenade, the beach however is about 10 minute walk away. Nice, quiet place, good base for exploring the western part of Crete. Very friendly staff, well prepared with information and hand-enhanced printed maps for the region."

"The rooms were odd, felt like staying in a concrete tomb. The pool was yellow-ish green, it was not swimmable. The hotel is very remote, no food, taverns, groceries within walking distance. beds were old and very uncomfortable, and overall we felt very unsafe in this location and left after one miserable night. The drive there involves some pretty twisty roads with the last 5 km or so on a dirt/gravel road.
