"The staff was wonderful. Love the family cabin. Someone trying to get in at night… I’m assuming was a bear… was a little alarming . Other than that I had a relaxing , quiet, peaceful stay at Emerald Bay Lodge!!! Will definitely stay again. Thank you for making my vacation great!"

"This was our second stay with Black Bear lodge. We really enjoy it. It is so quiet and relaxing. We usually end up taking an afternoon nap with the fireplace on or making a cup of tea and reading on the patio or by the fireplace under the stairs. Staff is helpful and friendly and was able to get us a 10% discount to Riva Grill! Recommend this place!"

"We stayed here and went skiing at Sierra at Tahoe. Great location, Convenient to restaurants and Sierra. Extremely convenient parking right in front of the door. Nice interior. Kids loved the bunkbeds. Nicely decorated and renovated. Only complaints related to noise: the walls are thin and you can easily hear the guests in the next room. Also, the heater is noisy and makes banging noises which woke me up. The kids slept fine and it is their favorite place to stay in Southlake Tahoe."

"Our December travel day was clear but the following day a snowstorm blew in. Through the huge wall of windows we watched snow swirl among the tall pines as the gas fireplace warmed the spacious main room with its vaulted ceiling of knotty pine. The well equipped and beautiful kitchen, the spacious bathrooms, the windows on all sides made for a delightful stay. The fireplace in the downstairs game room kept us warm as we played billiards. Here again there were many windows to look out at the...

"The inn keepers were very friendly and nice. They were very helpful. I just wished the hallways were better lite. The light switch was at the end of one hallway instead the front."
