Family Favorite on the Meadow 2-102

A well used family favorite in the village!

This is a popular choice many families because of its single level spread and stellar views of Kirkwood Meadow that are dependent on the snow level. The open floor plan is perfect for entertaining and mingling with family and friends. When it’s time to wind down, curl up next to the fire with a good book, and enjoy the silence of snow falling outside. This condo is great for larger families and groups of up to eight guests.  You won't need your car your entire stay. In the living room there is a large wood burning fireplace to cuddle up around and a separate area with a trundle bed that almost acts like a 3rd bedroom or loft. The bedrooms each have a queen/double bed and there are 2 full bathrooms. Even though this home is not updated, it's the owner's work in progress which is why it makes a great spot for children!

- Guest Bedroom Ensuite - One Double Bed and One Queen Bed.

Cozy place in a Great location!

Convenient location
We have been renting at the Sun Meadows every winter for the holiday ski break. We love the location and appreciate all the supplies and utensils provided at this rental unit. We will definitely rent it again next winter.

Great location for skiing!
Just a short walk to the base. Easy in and out with the unit on the first floor. The view to the North is very pleasant with an open valley with cross country skiers, dog walkers, and families taking a walk.

Kirkwood Ski area
We went during the summer, so we hiked and made several trips to Tahoe and Reno. Kirkwood is beautiful. The mosquito fire was raging fairly close by so the air was poluted day and night which was our only issue. The unit we rented was very nice and clean.

Great place at Kirkwood
This is a great place to stay at Kirkwood. Ive stayed in multiple units in most of the properties at Kirkwood. This is my favorite. Comfortable. Spacious. Very convenient to the lifts and it’s very nice to look out to and have easy access to the meadow for walks. And we can bring our dog!

We appreciated the great location and views. Beds were comfortable and kitchen and baths stocked adequately. The maintenance team was helpful with ice that coated the parking space. Fireplace and living areas were very comfortable. Some of the appliances are nearing the end of their usefulness and it’s a fixer-upper as identified in the description online. But we were happy and comfortable there and would stay again.

Good ski condo in Kirkwood
While one of the older buidlings in Kirkwood Ski Resort, Sun Meadows 2 has some advantages, undergound parking, easy walk to the lifts (but not ski in & out) large rooms, but could use some updates, fridge is old and missing door holders, oven was off temp etc. but who comes skiing to spend time in the kitchen. The modified porch makes a funky open bedroom, but it met all our needs.

Classic Sun Meadows condo
We had a great long weekend here with another family. The condo is great for socializing and entertaining--the kitchen is large and well-stocked, and the living room space is perfect for conversation and games. I think the view of the meadow is probably lovely too, though when we were there the picture window was completely buried in snow.... which is what we came to Kirkwood for, after all... Overall, this is a great place, close to the village and lifts, and with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We'd come back again!

Dated - but nice enough
Stayed for a long weekend in the summer (off season) and had a great time. I wouldn't like the bustle in winter, but it was very peaceful at this time of year. Pros: spacious living room; lots of privacy between the two rooms; well-equipped kitchen; dog-friendly (thanks!); very close to village and nice meadow. Cons: dated furnishings, signs of neglect (broken fridge shelves, shower doors); on the first floor but no direct access to outside, no balcony.

Long Weekend Away
This place was exactly as listed! We stayed during the off-season so there was no one there. However, staying during the season seems very convenient since the lifts are walking distance. I recommend that the owners replace/deep clean the carpets though and remove the carpet from the bathrooms. I understand that maybe you don't want to touch tile during the colder winters (we stayed in mid-April) but carpeted bathrooms were a bit strange. Other than that, we had a great time! I recommend it for a larger family/group of friends.

Everything was okay except for the condition of the furniture-uncomfortable and torn- and the rug was so stained. Cannot believe owners would invite people into their home like that. On the good side, the linens were yummy and the kitchen was well appointed and the manager was very responsive. So, go figure.

This property was right on the meadow and has a great unobstructed view. We have a dog, so it was easy to pop out the door and go for a walk with him. Parking was easy. The lifts were a short walk away. It's a great place to gather with family!
