"The room was great value for money! Staff at the pub were nice and welcoming, as was the food. Housekeeping staff need to ensure there is handwash in the bathroom, we had to use our own. The skirting board by the bed had drink spilt all over it- not sure how long it had been there before. This did not effect our stay though but effects the rating given."

The not as good: -we couldn't get the jets on the bath to work -soap at the sink ran out after the first use, but there was plenty of one in the shower so we didn't bother asking for replacement -the TV has very long response time - you press the button on the remote and nothing happens for at least 15-20 seconds. Overall, very good value for money. "

"The Red Lion was a lovely for me and my partner, we had an amazing stay. The staff at the pub were lovely, especially Aviva who was so friendly and helpful in the restaurant. I give four stars only because the price was a little unreasonable for the time of year (mid-November) when many local attractions are closed. Otherwise I could not recommend this place enough for a lovely weekend break. "
