"Really lovely place to stay, not what I was expecting at first but I have zero complaints about it!! The staff were fantastic, the rooms were beautiful and the shower controls were mindblowing; the only downside is the pillows/mattress aren’t too comfortable, but everything else about the property is fantastic. Thank you for being so accomodating!!"

"I enjoyed my stay and the staff were great. But I had problems getting shower going and there was no heating on. Both problems were fixed but there could have been more info. Especially as the pub was closed the Sunday evening I arrived so no help available."

"This was our second time staying with Martin and Jane and it was just as great second time around. We had the large sea view room again and it was perfect. Breakfast was yummy. We will be back. "

"The property was ideally situated for our needs. The bedroom was quite small but the bathroom spacious. The light above the bed wasn’t working. We reported this on arrival but it wasn’t rectified in spite of an assurance that it would be. No-one came to make up the room or refill the tea/coffee after the first night. "Didn’t know what to expect however on arrival we were given a free upgrade to a 4 poster room, the original wood work and the 4 poster itself was nice, the host came out to greet us and carry my bags he was very warm and welcoming he had a wonderful aura about him. The room was spacious, and subtly decorated can’t go wrong with white, it’s originally was quaint and peaceful. It was quiet even though your are only a few minutes from Gatwick, only thing I say is bring a torch if you want to go...

"We stayed in the room with a double-bed, and it was really a lovely experience! Arden House is very well maintained and the bathroom and room facilities were very modern. Arundel is quite small so you're only minutes away from everything. The host, Lucie, was very kind and asked if we have everything we need as soon as we got our room. "A very good option for early flights from Gatwick airport. Just a few minutes walk to departure lounge. The food is very good, 4am breakfast is a very considerate service! The only two shortcomings bases on my experience are: the hand washing sink is a bit clogged as the water in the sink goes away very slowly. Also the ventilation in the bathroom is a bit too loud and cannot be turned off. Overall a very good choice for airport overnight stay. "

Fabulous stay in this grand hotel

"Lovely overnight stay at this fabulous hotel. We upgraded to get a room overlooking the Italian Gardens and were able to check in early, even though we arrived at 11am. The hotel is a grand building and although our room was in the newer extension, the decor in the room was in keeping with the rest of the hotel. We had a very comfortable night's sleep and enjoyed the leisure club with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room & pool. Breakfast & dinner in the restaurant was wonderful and we had a lovely walk through the countryside and stopped at the nearby pub. There are wellies available for muddy walks and the hotel is dog friendly. All in all, the best hotel we've been to and will definitely be back soon."

"We have stayed at this hotel several times. The rooms are clean and spacious and the beds are comfortable. Good power shower. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. The negatives are we generally stay in January and the central heating in our room has never worked. The hotel provides an electric heater for the room but it would be better if they could sort out the heating. Also for this standard hotel, the towels are very poor quality - old, thin and very rough."
