"The hosts were amazing and friendly. Language was a bit of a barrier but the staff had good grasp of English to have engaging conversations. They were also very accomodating to our needs as well. The rooftop view of the Pyramids is one of the highlights. And the Pyramids are a walking distance too from the lodge if you are into that kind of thing. Otherwise you can get one of the horse drawn carriages Pharaoh style to get there. All in all, solid 5 stars"

"Amazing hospitality. Mohammad the owner is very kind. View of the pyramids is brilliant especially during breakfast and the entrance is a 10 minute easy walk from the hotel. Great value, lovely breakfast and lovely staff!"

"Staff could not have been more welcoming. Is a little difficult to find as no signage inside front door, its located on second floor under Tahrir Plaza name. Fabulous large space, clean, convenient, perfect place for a home base, wish we could havd stayed longer! Thankyou!!!"

"Its scams. Just dirty apartment in narrow unsafe street.. no sign shows its hotel..I didn't stay there when I seen this scary place. Expedia should investigate this scam place and reporting the ministry for scamming people. I'm waiting for my full refund. Location and pictures is fake when you book. Be careful everyone "

"Ali was an incredible host. I stayed here on a recent trip to see the Pyramids in Giza on July 21, 2024. I landed late from Luxor and stayed here overnight to see the Giza complex. "Although I tipped her in my first stay, the receptionist claimed that the room I had booked & confirmed was no longer available and I need to cancel & re-book a bigger room, she also requested that I pay directly at the hotel and not via Expedia (Basically an attempt to grab more money). "We stayed at Golden Tulip as a family, they were welcoming and late check-in was not a problem. The room was clean and tidy but the beds were small for a family. "I have stayed at this hotel twice. Kamal seems to be the local manager. At this time, I am providing information about him only, and not the property. Kamal is a very nice man. His English is very good. He greeted me warmly on both visits. On the latter visit, I arranged for two tours--of the step pyramids, Memphis and the Giza pyramids and of the three major museums. A good guide was provided for the first tour. I liked the driver who picked me up at the airport, so Kamal arranged for that driver for me throughout. Kamal is very detail oriented and seems honest to deal with. He seems to be well-liked by the hotel workers. I respect and like Kamal."

"Giza is dirty and noisy, any property would get a similar review. The hotel is very close to the Pyramids and if you get a view room, they are very close. The food in the upstairs restaurant is very good, and a large Egyptian breakfast is included. I would probably stay in Cairo on my next visit, as the Pyramids are a fair distance away. "
