Adrian, part of the breakfast team at the 1189 Kitchen & Bar, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we started each morning with a smile. The service was excellent, and his warm demeanor really stood out. A special thank you to Mary at reception, who took the time—despite it being a busy period—to personally show us the castle’s dungeon. It was such a thoughtful gesture and added an unexpected and fascinating highlight to our stay. Her enthusiasm and kindness made a big impression on us. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and welcoming getaway."
